Photography finds on Kickstarter

After following an article on from a photography blog I follow http://www.iso1200.com/ to a kickstarter page about a light weight, large format camera I found myself searching for Photography related projects on the site and thought that I would share a could of projects that I have found here.

The first, aforementioned item is the Travelwide 4x5 camera from Wanderlust Cameras. The camera is said to be 'lighter than a DSLR, and not much larger—yet tough enough to toss in a side bag or cram into an overloaded backpack'   and designed to be used like a point and shoot. I'm interested in how a camera like this could be used in terms of fashion and portraiture photography. Examples of it in use and it's results can be seen on the camera's kickstarter page and the video below.

Next up is the Pop-up Pinhole Project from Kelly Angood offers a 120mm Medium Format pinhole camera in the format of a cardboard DIY kit. The kit is ideal for students and those wanting to experiment with medium format photography due to both it's cheap price and it's DIY nature which can help in understanding how the camera works. Funding will help go towards the creation of the flat pack kits to send to backers.

You can follow updates about the project at the The pop-up pinhole tumblr page
.
and finally, the Twinsies project volume 2 from Photographer Cheyne Gallarde. A continuation of the project from the book 'Universe of One' in which Gallarde featured a page dedicated to his kickstarter backers by shooting portraits of himself whilst recreating the original images.
